We Are Surrounded by a Cloud of Witnesses. ~Heb. 12:1
The Communion of Saints
Did you know that we each have our own special “Communion of Saints” which include canonized Saints, Angels, and deceased loved ones? Did you realize that they are our spiritual companions who assist us in our daily lives?
Come and learn about the rich teaching of the Communion of Saints, discuss various ways that Saints and deceased loved ones are present with us, and ponder more than twelve ways that our deceased loved ones communicate with us.
As we enter into the Advent Season, we will be especially mindful of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph as two significant Advent Saints.
You will take home a handout of helpful information and prayer experiences to help you enjoy this great gift of spiritual companionship in your daily life.
The Healing Power of Spiritual Experience: Experiencing God’s Abundant Love
The experience of God’s loving presence deeply transforms our mind, heart, spirit and body. Spiritual experience connects us with our divine essence, transforms our personal blocks and “unfreedoms”, and opens us more fully to God’s abundant love.
The Advent season is the perfect time to come learn about and experience the healing power of spiritual experience and how daily prayer deepens our experience of divine love. You will take home with you a handout of helpful information and prayer experiences to assist you in your closer journey with God.
Some topics we will explore and experience are:
- The meaning and fruits of a “Spiritual Awakening”
- Four manifestations of “Spiritual Experience”
- Signs of an authentic Spiritual Experience
- Ways to open our hearts to God’s tremendous love.
- Obstacles to experiencing God’s loving presence
- How an experience of God’s love heals our heart, mind, spirit, body and life
- Our call to be “Practical Mystics”
As Advent begins, set aside this day for quiet reflection and leave with the tools you need to focus on your spiritual experience as we wait in hope for Jesus’ birth. Guided by Maureen Conroy, RSM, D.Min.
