A Serenity Pause in the Busyness of your Life: 

Relax Deeply, Balance your Mind & Emotions, Replenish your Energy

This Daylong Retreat allows you to step out of the complexity and busyness of your life and to listen deeply to your body, heart and mind. The central practice on our retreat will be mindfulness, a time for reflection, a time to witness what is going on inside you, a time to experience the present moment with no judgment, accepting what is. In this silent and mindful environment, the body quiets, awareness sharpens, the mind clears, and space opens for insight and understanding to develop.

This retreat offers an opportunity for practicing mindfulness and meditation which will open our hearts and minds to see the ways in which we create unnecessary worries and challenges in our lives, and it will help us discover the freedom we can all experience when we let go of our habitual thinking patterns. There will be training on how to work with what we are experiencing. We will bring loving kindness and self-compassion to our experience through guided meditations, and we may discover a way to be in harmony with the realities of life. Join Monica Jordan M.Ed., MCMBT for this enlightening retreat!

Monica holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) and a Master’s Certificate in Mind, Brain and Teaching (MCMBT) from Johns Hopkins University. Monica has trained in the principles and practices of mindfulness through several programs including the University of Massachusetts Medical School’s Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society. Through their Oasis Institute Programs, she trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Program, led by Dr. Jon-Kabat Zinn, founder of MBSR. Monica teaches her three level mindfulness training programs in Severna Park and she offers free Mindfulness Meditation and talks for those who have been touched by cancer and their families at the Wellness House and Unity by the Bay where she offers monthly talks and weekly meditation sessions.
