……….In the image of God He created them (Genesis 1:27)
Our authentic selves are the image of God. Yet, in today’s society we’ve allowed social media, marketing tools, family, friends and other outside influences to dictate what we should look like, how we should act, what we should think and what products we need to make life grand; all while creating our counterfeit self. Are we being the person we were created to be? Our authentic self? Created in the image of God?
In this workshop we will explore what is the “image of God.” We’ll also reflect on how we see ourselves and look at some simple spiritual practices that will help us return to our authentic selves.
Please read John 17 in preparation. Bring your Bible and a notebook/journal. Guided by Rev. Elizabeth LeMaster and Sharon Feldman.
