Courage is the first of human qualities because it is the quality which guarantees the others.
~Aristotle
Living an authentic life and being a person of integrity takes courage. We need it for the smallest acts of truth telling and the biggest commitments. Through reflection and prayer, we’ll look closely at this first of human qualities. We will explore what it means and name our own people of courage. These processes will guide us in uncovering the fears that hold us back individually and as a community. Finally, we will discuss choosing a mantra or talisman, establishing a ritual, and the use of another human quality, humor, to help us practice courage. A journal for the journey will be provided. The day will be guided by Andrea Springer.
