If, as Bonaventure says, God is a circle whose center is everywhere and whose circumference is nowhere, how are we to encounter God? Drs. John and Audrey Rogers will explore this theme during our February Friends Day of Prayer retreat.
Our Friends Day of Prayer retreats are held monthly on the first Wednesday of the month. Everyone is welcome to attend and you can drop into any month. It’s not required to attend every retreat. Everyone will gather for coffee and pastries for the first half hour. Drs. John and Audrey Rogers will give a morning presentation, Mass will follow in the chapel, a delicious lunch, and then they will give an afternoon presentation. Free time will be offered to walk the labyrinth, spend quiet time in prayer or shop in the bookstore.
Audrey and John Rogers are retired health professionals with Masters Degrees in Theology from St. Mary’s Ecumenical Institute. They have been active members of St. Vincent de Paul Parish for over 25 years. Both are committed to contemplative practices, and Audrey completed study at the Living School of the Richard Rohr Institute at the Center for Action and Contemplation in Albuquerque in 2018.
