Let Me Live Gracefully
Let this season be for me
a time of gathering together the pieces
into which my busyness has broken me
O God, enable me now to grow wise through reflection,
peaceful through the song of the cricket,
recreated through the laughter of play.
Most of all, Lord,
let me live easily and gracefully for a spell…
and find the right words to tell another who I am.
~Ted Loder, Guerillas of Grace
Come and join us for this Friends Day of Prayer. Give yourself the gift of slowing down, catching your breath and sharing with others as we all connect with God. Self-care is not a luxury but vital to your health and well-being. We will explore ways to reduce stress, and live more reflectively so that we can be there for the other people in our lives. There will be time for both personal reflection and discussion.
Our Friends Day of Prayer retreats are held monthly on the first Wednesday of the month. Everyone is welcome to attend and you can drop into any month. It’s not required to attend every retreat. Everyone will gather for coffee and pastries for the first half hour. Joy Aker will give a morning presentation, followed by Mass in the chapel, a delicious lunch, and then she will give an afternoon presentation. Free time will be offered to walk the labyrinth, spend quiet time in prayer or shop in the bookstore.
