“Out of the depths, I cry to you…hear my voice… I wait…I hope…”
Our day will explore the richness of these words from Psalm 130 for our prayer life as we, also, engage in preparations for our journey through Holy Week.
This retreat day with Sr. Sara Dwyer will include presentations; guided meditations and reflective questions for private prayer for use during Holy Week.
Our Friends Day of Prayer retreats are held monthly on the first Wednesday of the month. Everyone is welcome to attend and you can drop into any month. It’s not required to attend every retreat. Everyone will gather for coffee and pastries for the first half hour. Sr. Sara will give a morning presentation, and there will be time for Mass in the Chapel afterwards. A delicious lunch will be served and then she will give an afternoon presentation. Free time will be offered to walk the labyrinth, spend quiet time in prayer or shop in the bookstore.
Sr. Sara Dwyer is a sister of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ, and currently the Retreat Program Director at the Washington Retreat House, in DC.
