“St. Francis and the 12 Fruits of the Holy Spirit”
During the morning session of the retreat, Fr. Gene Nickol will show and discuss Bishop Robert Barron’s video on St. Francis of Assisi from his “Pivotal Players” series. During the afternoon we will look at the 12 Fruits of the Holy Spirit as they were alive in his life – and in our lives.
The Friends Day of Prayer retreats are held monthly on the first Wednesday of the month. Everyone is welcome to attend and you can drop into any month. It’s not required to attend every month. Friends Day guests gather at 9:30am for breakfast pastries and coffee. Fr. Gene will begin with a morning presentation, followed by Mass in the chapel, a delicious lunch, and an afternoon presentation. Free time will be offered to walk the labyrinth, spend quiet time in prayer or shop in the bookstore.
Fr. Gene Nickol has been senior priest at St. John’s Church in Columbia Maryland for the past four years. Ordained in 1973, he has served at St. Joseph’s Fullerton, St. Agnes at Catonsville, St. Peter’s in Libertytown, Holy Trinity in Glen Burnie and Our Lady of the Fields in Millersville.
