Biography as Spirituality: Two Prayer Practices in The Spiritual Exercises Distilled from the Early Life of Ignatius of Loyola

Our Friends Day of Prayer retreats are held monthly on the first Wednesday of the month. Everyone is welcome to attend and you can drop into any month. It’s not required to attend every month. Rev. Stephen Wade will give a morning presentation, followed by Mass in the chapel, a delicious lunch, and an afternoon presentation by Rev. Wade. Free time will be offered to walk the labyrinth, spend quiet time in prayer or shop in the bookstore.

Rev. Stephen Wade is a priest in the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia. He has recently retired as Chair of the Diocese’s Committee on Discernment and as a leader of the Discernment for Leadership retreats for the committee. Rev. Wade has led Ignatian 8-day retreats at the Eastern Point Retreat House and our Center. He also maintains a private practice of spiritual direction in Ashburn, VA, and is a member of the ecumenical Ignatian Retreats in Daily Life team at Holy Trinity Church at Georgetown University.
