Gift of the Magi Weekend Retreat

December 6 @ 3:00 pm - December 8 @ 1:00 pm

retreat, Christmas, spiritual

The lore surrounding the Magi has fascinated generations of believers and seekers for many centuries.  Couched in the mystique of the Christmas story, the role of these wise astrologers has evolved over time for individuals and communities as their personal meaning and contributions have been explored.

Join us for a weekend retreat, away from the hustle and bustle of December, as you are invited to learn more about these figures and their legacy. Participants will be engaged in opportunities for considering historical information, meditation and prayer, and a deeper appreciation of how the Magi offer a unique spiritual treasure to our perennial celebration of Christmas. Please bring a journal for use during writing exercises and throughout the day. Comfortable clothes /shoes are optimal for outdoor walking (if desired).

Check-in for this retreat begins at 3pm on Friday. Dinner will be served at 6pm and the retreat will begin at 7pm. It will conclude with lunch on Sunday.

If you are interested in a commuter rate or double occupancy lodging room option, please contact Jennifer Murphy, Manager of Retreats & Events, at Jennifer_Murphy@nullRCCBonSecours.com.
