Give Thanks to God Unceasingly
St. Paul and our other holy men and women tell us to give thanks to God unceasingly. Amidst great trials and hardships, they made continual thanksgiving their lifestyle. Despite persecution and harsh opposition, they lived with peace, joy, and great hope. During this retreat, through conferences and prayer, we will explore in great depth the inner workings of a disciple’s unceasing gratitude. Continual gratitude gives us God’s perspective on our lives, amidst both the ordered beauty and the chaotic confusion of our world. Continual gratitude helps us establish God’s reign in human hearts through our own minds and hearts having been re-created in Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. Continual gratitude makes us familiar inhabitants of heaven while remaining earthly sojourners. Welcome to this retreat.
Check-in begins at 3pm and the retreat will begin after dinner. This is a silent retreat and is guided by Dr. Michael Fonseca. There will be morning prayer and two presentations with group dialogue each day, along with time for personal reflection.
