This silent women’s retreat will explore reflections on a variety of spiritual themes that are personal to our journey as Christians. In addition to retreat presentations, the weekend will also include Celebration of the Eucharist, Free time/personal reflection, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, group discussion, and a Reconciliation Service. Check-in begins at 3pm and dinner will be served at 6pm. The retreat will begin immediately following dinner. The retreat will conclude with lunch on Sunday. Silence will be observed beginning after dinner on Friday and concluding before dinner on Saturday.
Sr. Bernadette Claps is a Sister of Bon Secours and provides spiritual direction and spiritual companionship at the Retreat & Conference Center. She holds graduate certificates in Spiritual Direction, Spirituality and Aging. She has done graduate studies in theology and received a Master of Social Work from New York University.
Fr. Jim McBurney is a member of the order of St. Augustine. He has served as both a pastor and parochial vicar in parishes in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and also in Orlando, Florida. He has also served his Augustinian Community as a Vocation Director and Director of Formation. His current ministry consists of offering retreats and days of recollection. He has offered spiritual director to religious, clergy and laity for over 16 years.
