Tuesday, The Healing Power of Words and Affirmations:
Did you ever pay attention to the type of words you speak each day? Have you noticed which ones are affirming and soothing, and which are critical and hurtful? Did you know that affirming words can bring healing to body, mind, heart and spirit? Have you ever considered that you are a Word of God?
Come and learn how caring words to ourselves and others can change our outlook on life and foster physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. Bring a favorite prayer, poem, or Scripture passage which contains words that are healing for you.
Wednesday, Love is the Greatest Healer:
Scientific studies are proving the healing power of love! A compassionate, caring presence to another person fosters physical cures, psychological healing and spiritual well-being. As the song from Broadway expresses beautifully, “Love changes everything!”
During this experiential program, we will:
- reflect on how love is a state of being
- reflect on ways the human and divine love heals body, mind and spirit
- ponder the qualities and empowering effects of God’s abundant love
- ponder the “greatest gift of all” in 1 Corinthians 13
- explore concrete ways to foster unconditional love in our lives
- experience healing meditations
You will also bring home a handout of helpful information and meditation experiences to assist you in exploring the healing power of love in your daily life. Guided by Sr. Maureen Conroy, RSM, D.Min.
