Are you looking to go deeper in your relationship with God? Join us as we explore the Spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola. This retreat will introduce participants to Ignatian methods of prayer, such as the Daily Examen, the richness of silence and imaginative prayer using Scripture. We’ll explore how we might more effectively discern God’s will for us using St. Ignatius’ time-tested methods, and how we can more easily find God in all things. In addition to the talks, there will be periods of silent prayer, individual spiritual direction as time allows, and, if the weather is nice, we may have a group prayer walking exercise.
Our retreat will include segments on prayer, exercise, and diet. Check-in begins at 3pm and then the retreat begins before dinner at 5pm. Guided by Paul Gallagher.
Paul Gallagher, is a long-time faith formation leader in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. His doctoral work focused on the positive effects Ignatian Spirituality can have on a person’s health and well-being. Paul used the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius to get his own health back on track and looks forward to helping you with your own transformation. He is presently the Director of Adult Faith Formation at St. John Church in Westminster. Paul’s blog, www.makingallthingsnew.com, has been viewed by thousands of people from all over the world, and through his posts, he looks to help people transform their lives by integrating principles of Ignatian Spirituality into their daily routines.
