Join us in a Lenten journey as we read and discuss the book, Hinds’ Feet on High Places by Hannah Hurnard. Follow “Much Afraid” on her journey with her companions “Sorrow” and “Suffering” – from the Valley of Humiliation to the High Places in the Kingdom of Love – guided by the “Chief Shepherd” (Christ). The leader of the book discussion will help to set the scene by sharing a coincidental connection between many of the quotations in the allegory with works of art by Maxfield Parrish.
Members of this discussion group will read five chapters per week and then come to discuss the chapters. The book is available in our bookstore and we encourage you to read the first five chapters before arriving for the first discussion. Guided by Judi Hays.
The group will be meeting on Thursdays from 9-11am for 4 weeks. Dates are March 9, March 16, March 23 and March 30. This registration includes all of the sessions. There is no option to attend select dates. The discussion will end at 11am, enabling you to attend the Center’s daily 11am Mass, if you’d like. You may also inquire with our Welcome Center about purchasing $10 meal tickets if you choose to stay for the 12pm lunch.
