Welcome to a time of spiritual rest, renewal and nourishment for those who provide the invaluable gift of spiritual direction to others. The program will include time for private prayer and reflection, the option of spiritual direction for yourself, prayer in community, opportunities for thought-provoking interaction and updating on self-care for spiritual directors and what our Christian spiritual tradition has to offer about the experience of spiritual darkness. With this option of arriving Sunday evening, you can also enjoy social interaction with other spiritual directors after dinner. Guided by Kathleen Hope Brown, D.Min.
Check-in begins at 3pm on Sunday. Dinner will be served at 6pm and an informal, social gathering will be held immediately following dinner. Overnight lodging on Sunday, breakfast and lunch on Monday is also included. The Monday retreat will begin at 9:30am.
Kathleen Hope Brown, D.Min., teaches spiritual direction and other courses in spirituality at the Virginia Theological Union. Her doctorate in Adult Spiritual Formation is from Catholic University.
