A Ministry of the Sisters of Bon Secours

Wayward Men & Women in Scripture – What Can We Learn?

June 16 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

Gospel, scripture, Bible

We sometimes think that the people who served God throughout Salvation history were perfect and served God perfectly. We might be surprised to discover the imperfections that were a part of those famous, and not-so-famous, Bible characters (and some were real characters!). We’ll meet them on their level and in the midst of their culture. We will discover that God used them in His story, not only in spite of their deficiencies, but sometimes because of them!

Guided by Carol Mullins. Please bring your Bible. Lunch is included.

Carol Mullins is a graduate of the Catholic Biblical Studies Program of the Denver Theological Union and has studied scripture for over 30 years. As the founder and president of Quiet Whispers Ministry, Carol travels to present biblically-based retreats. Her focus on the history and culture of the Hebrew people allows a deeper understanding of the faith message found in the Bible stories. A master at energetic biblical story-telling, she adds her own original music to each program to emphasize the faith message. You can learn more about Carol on her website at http://www.quietwhispers.org/.
